[SMCARA] SMCARA Christmas Party a Success!

  A group of SMCARA members and guests gathered last Thursday night at the Golden Corral to celebrate the season and wrap up another successful year with the club. Everyone had a great time eating and chatting with fellow hams. We also had a few guests who are perspective hams so the group at our table did a good job of chatting about radio, offering the club's assistance in getting their license and helping them get a station on the air. 

  Also during the dinner, we honored Tom Clarke, W4OKW with the President's Award! I know I speak for the entire club when I say we appreciate Tom's ongoing efforts to bring the 64 repeater back up to fully operational and back to its home location. 

  The club has a lot coming up in 2019 as we start the regular VE test sessions back up, a possible run at Winter Field Day and all the other normal activities that we participate in. So stay tuned as we roll out of 2018 and into 2019!
  Keep an eye on the club website over the next couple days, I'm going to attempt my first post of this write-up along with some pictures from the dinner.
