[SMCARA] April Meeting

Good day fellow hams.  I hope all is well with everyone.  The meeting will be tomorrow evening at 730 pm at the Pax Air Museum.  The current agenda is to vote on the two constitutional changes, have a brief discussion on the inventory status, and the status of the HF station at the museum.  I know that we have lots of active members, and we need everyone to come out and vote at this meeting. I know that some may think that changing the officers terms and the timeframe of the votes may seem like a minor thing, but I believe it is more a show of solidarity in the club.  Vote your conscious, but please vote.

Since it has been some time, and we were not able to have the march meeting, this is the current items up for vote.

  1.  To change the terms of the officers from one year to two, to relieve pressure having to change officers that often, and give the officers, especially the president and vice president, time to really get in a good rhythm and keep the club running smooth.
  2.  Moving the vote for the officers from July to October.  A yay vote for this item would push the current officers term to October, which we are all ok with.
Please come out and vote.  It would be wonderful to see as many people as possible.  I will put out a formal agenda with the actual constitution wording that will be changed.  I just wanted to get this email out this morning for all to see as soon as possible.  I will also update the website and the facebook page.  Thank you everyone, and look forward to seeing as many as possible tomorrow evening.
