[SMCARA] No JOTA event

Hello fellow SMCARA members:

I cannot remember who all said they would help with the JOTA exhibition at Cub
Scout Pak 2819.
I know Ren and June gave positive response and know the current situation
already. Past that, if you volunteered, I have forgotten.

Pack 2819 has decided to go the JOTI route and no longer request our
services.

It is partly my fault:  I have been so busy (primarily with my son's
Eagle Court
of Honor) that I finally had the time to reach out.  By time I did... it
was too late.
Although after talking to Pastor Walt, he was thinking we had a fixed site that
was regularly manned, he could visit and have the cubs participate.  I
explained that isn't quite the way our club operates... .unless he wants to
join us for 'pig out with the hams.'  Ha ha!

Anyway, I cannot remember who else spoke up and said they would help.  It
works out for me.  My daughter has a swim meet, my son is refereeing for
some soccer games.   As much as I love showing scouts the fun of amateur
radio, my services a Chauffeur for the Graessle Family Limo Service are
requested and take priority.

My apologies for all the whoo-ha back in July, especially when nothing
comes of it.  I should have listened to Walt in the first place.
