[SMCARA] Earth Day Westmoreland State Park

Let me try this again!  The first email got all scrambled in the transmission.  Sorry to clutter your in-boxes.

For the past several years the Westmoreland Amateur Radio Club has been celebrating Earth Day at the Westmoreland State Park in Virginia.  Earth Day at the Park will be on the weekend of the 22nd of April.  I have coordinated with the park ranger and they will reserve 10 campsites for us in the same area that we used last year for Friday and Saturday night.  I think it was campsite area C.  The plan is to have the club (and any other volunteers) do a trail hike clean-up on Saturday morning around 10 AM and then have the displays set up from around noon until whenever.   Pretty much the same as last year.  Also the Park has some sort of Earth Day events that they are sponsoring.  The park activities person will coordinate with us if some of us want to participate with them.

Please let me know if you plan to attend and when and what sort of display/activity/demo you are going to bring and set up.   Most anything relating to the Earth Day theme is good.  Solar/Wind/Power conservation/reuse-recycle/pedal power/ etc and etc.  Both static and dynamic demos/displays are good.  You don't have to be a club member to participate (but if you are not, we will try to recruit you :-) )  Even if you are not setting anything up, please come out and visit and see what others are demonstrating.
