[SMCARA] XP keyboard and mouse problem

Hi All,

Chris, KC3ERI, was given a Dell GX-620 that is running XP.  He did not get
the original program disk. I brought it home to make sure that it was
operational and that it wasn't password protected.  It is in fact running
and it does not use a password.  But there's a glitch, it is not recognizing
the keyboard or the mouse and it is time that we enlist someone with some
"under the hood" Microsoft OS experience to look at it.  If you can help,
please let us know.  The computer is temporarily living at my house, but I
will deliver it to anyone who'd like to take a shot at running this to
ground.  We can always load 7 pro, but if we can fix it, Chris will have a
useful ham computer with exactly nothing invested.  My Echolink computer
chugs along on XP and without a bunch of web browsing and no email, it's
been stable as a rock.
