[SMCARA] Question/Opinions

I cannot speak to the FT-60R; but I can tell you that I have a Kenwood HT-D72A.  I'm very happy with it. More important my XYL is happy. She uses it to listen to the NOAA sites when foul weather is imminent. I've also preprogrammed the Railroad channels and she listens to the conductor & engineer when we travel by train.  

There is and Alpha and an Echo for America and Europe. The Alpha is set to harness the North American method of subtones for repeaters. 

It's a very powerful little machine.
