First off,  I want to publicly thank Eric N3UH for all the work he has done
as our VEC here in the area.  Well done.  I wish you the best of luck in
your new position and Godspeed on your LOOOONG trip back home to FLA.

For those that do not know, I have agreed to becoming the next VEC for this
area.  Slightly daunting challenge as Eric was pretty good at setting exams
(You do know Eric...all this ego petting isn't free!).  We met last night
at a nondescript pancake house to begin the data dump and turn over the
football.  Its done.  So until further notice, There will be no exams
offered in the county until I am accredited.  Please bear with me as that
happens.

Speaking of accreditation...Coming up here on the club meeting Thursday, I
will need three W5YI members to please come up and volunteer to be the
"core exam team"  You are not committing yourself to be at every exam just
saying that I have three extra-class VE's to start our new exam team.  As
soon as that is done, I will scan and email that off to W5YI and get things
moving to resume examinations here.  I will keep everyone informed to the
process status.

Again, Thank you Eric for all that you have done here and I hope I can do
at least half as good as you as Saint Mary's County VEC (my bill is under
separate email)
