We have just converted to a propane fueled 16 KW Generac standby generator.

I'd like to sell my existing industrial quality Robin / Subaru. It is an
Robin RGV 12000, as shown here:

http://www.electricpowergenerator.com/RGV12000.html

These are high end generators ... equal in quality, maybe even better, than
the Generac that I just bought.

Subaru has taken over the Robin line and now sells this unit as the RGV
12100, shown here:

1166.html

My RGV 12000 has always lived in my generator shack (an Amish barn) and has
a total of 264.5 hours run time.

Its only defects are that is needs a new starting battery and it has stopped
going to idle all load is removed (discovered on my most recent maintenance
run).

As you can see, these things are going up in price, rather than coming down.
I paid $3,200 for the unit and the identical generator is now selling on
line for $4,053.

These units are serviced in St. Mary's County by Milts

I am offering my unit for 1/2 what I paid for it ($1,600). For another
$250, I will include 70 feet of heavy UV resistant rubber covered AWG 6/3
with the appropriate generator and house connectors installed $250 (less
than the current cost of the materials). I will also include the matching
box that mounts on the side of the house. It needs to be sanded and
repainted. I don't want to separate these items.

I replaced this generator for two reasons:

1. I sized my original transfer panel for a 5.5 KW generator, so I always
underutilized the generator and powered an insufficient number of household
circuits.

2. At 72.8, the idea of having 425 gallons of propane waiting in the ground
trumps the logistics, storage and stock rotation associated with gasoline
(you'll have those problems too, but most of you are eons younger than I am;
15 years ago, it didn't bother me nearly enough to spend another 8K for
convenience).

This generator has functioned flawlessly through every storm since Isabelle.
When I had satellite internet, my echolink node was up and running when few
others ion the county had power or internet.

As they say ... Thanks for looking!
