[SMCARA] Kenwood Information

I came across  a TS-700A (2m multimode base) and a couple of items were 
included along with it.  They were a Kenwood SP-70 speaker and a Kenwood 
VOX-3.    Can anyone tell me if these are universal to any and all of the 
"older" HF receivers?    I am not a "plug and pray" guy that sparks don't 
fly.   I would like to use them with a TS-440S.   Better yet, is there a 
website where Kenwood information flows like soda pop from the big rock 
candy mountain.
