On a recent trip to the Ridge Convenience Center (we used to call them
transfer stations) there was a new rubbermaid tote box full of junk
electronics set aside for the option of take it away or it gets pitched.
There are a couple dozen small PCBs, a couple of hard drives, cooling fans,
a box of various power cords, a digital to analog TV conversion box and a
couple of other devices that I had no clue as to what they are. At the
time I put the lot into the back of my van, I was interesting in liberating
the Rubbermaid tote which still had it store stickers on the ends. Also
liberated for my use, several USB adapters and power plugs.

To an experimenter, the circuit boards have a lot of reusable components
like those adapters for circuit board to plug ins, caps, resistors,
transistors maybe and those things that do a lot of things. As a minimum,
good things for boy scouts and newbies to practice pcb (de)soldering
techniques.

I am going to bring all of the stuff in to the next meeting to go on the
freebie table. Take a little, take it all. I am also going to bring in a
40 foot roll of 22swg 3 corewire coax with that is foil spiralwrap shielded
and with a drain . I have alreaday taken what I needed so bring your snips
if you think you can use some of it. I bought it to bridge from an iambic
paddle to an electronic keyer.
