[SMCARA] Multi-Faith Day to Serve - Serenity Farms, Benedict, MD - September 19 - 7am

I agree with Ken about the communications. I thought they went very well.
The only issue I saw, which like all things related to ham radio were
quickly resolved, was that several people couldn't program their radios to
the operating frequency. I'm not throwing stones because I had to try
several times the night before to make sure I could program mine manually.
I blame that on most of us using software to program our radios. So my
only suggestion would to be sure you can program in a simplex frequency.
The frequency was made known in Dan's original email.

I want to commend Ren, sweet potato and tomato guy, and Dave, cemetery
guy. I saw Dave working his butt off shoveling, hoeing and wheel barreling
dirt every time we brought water to them. Well I didn't really see Ren
working but he was as dirty as the rest of the people so I guess he was
working. :) Far all I know he had to take someone to the ground in order
to defend his "Go Navy Beat Army" hat. Everyone else was also very busy
and looking out for their groups as well.

I encourage everyone to consider helping with this event. If you want to
see a polite and well mannered younger generation this will warm your
heart. Congratulations to the parents of these kids

73s,

Dave W3DLQ
