Folks, Every year theCharles County Amateur Radio Club (CCARC) provides communications support forthe Indian Head 100 mile bike ride, called the Southern Maryland Century. Thisride is sponsored by the Oxen Hill Bicycle and Trail Club. The event this yearfalls on Labor Day, 9/7 and due to that, I am a few hams short of what I needto provide full support throughout the course. As of now, I am short two peopleto allow for one ham at each location.

We normally meet at the Village Green Pavilion in IndianHead at 7:00 and get out on the course before 8:00. We are normally shuttingdown the first few rest stops by noon and the later ones by 1:30 or so. And toadd some appeal to the invite for support, we normally get a free ride T-shirtand good food (also free) at the start/finish line.

Since our current repeater tower is under renovation, wereceived the thumbs-up from the Northern Neck Amateur Radio Club (NNARC) to usetheir repeater for communications with simplex (146.535) as a backup. Therepeater info is: 146.745-, PL tone 107.2.

If anyone would like to help out, please send me an emaildirectly. I appreciate the club President, N1LID allowing me to put this emailout on your reflector.

Everyone have a great holiday weekend & 73,Rob – N2OMCCCARC President
