to rent so I can head out for Kentucky Nov 1.

SMCARA 2015 tailgate fest is in our rear view mirror and I want to thank
everyone for a very successful event!

First, I'd like to thank Chris, KC3DIG.  He took on the job of coordinating
this year's tailgate fest; no small feat when you consider some people
thought we started so late it couldn't be done.  
Chris tolerated my incessant questions, requests for updates and taking care
of the many (MANY!) behind the scenes details.  Thanks Chris.

I'd like to thank Gene, N3NO for coordinating with the Hollywood VFD and
allowing us to use the bingo Hall. I'd also like to thank Gene for
tolerating us as we blocked the normal firetruck re-fueling station.

I'd like to thank AJ3U, AJ for donating the 100 foot run of coax for the
raffle.  Many of you probably already know, AJ won the raffle grand prize,
the FT-2900 and antenna mag mount. What you probably don't know is AJ very
graciously donated the radio and antenna back to the association! So we have
a brand new radio, antenna and magnetic mount for another raffle on another
event (TBD). Thanks AJ.

I'd like to thank Eric, N3UH for holding the amateur radio licensing exam. 

I'd like to thank the Calvert and Charles country clubs for coming to the
tailgate fest and showing your support. 
(Note: we need to get some SMCARA shirts for you to wear next time! Just
kidding).

Last (but certainly not the least) I'd like to thank Martin Pittinger,
KB3MXM (ARRL MDC Section Three manager) for taking time out of his weekend
to attend our tailgate fest and be available to address our concerns /
comments. 

I'm looking forward to an even better event next year.
