This weekend is the CQ Worldwide SSB contest. It is completely possible to
work DXCC in a single weekend during this one.

Rules and other info here: http://www.cqww.com/

Summary: Starts: 0000 UTC Saturday (Friday, 10/23 8:00 PM Local) Ends:
2359 UTC Sunday (Sunday, 10/25 7:59 PM Local)

Exchange: Signal Report (59) and CQ Zone number (for Maryland - 05) Zone
map here: http://www.mapability.com/ei8ic/maps/cqzone.phpQSO

Points: Stations may be contacted once on each band. QSO points are based on
the location of the station worked.

Contacts between stations on different continents count three (3) points.
Contacts between stations on the same continent but in different countries
count one (1) point. Exception: Contacts between stations in different
countries within the North American boundaries count two (2) points.
Contacts between stations in the same country have zero (0) QSO point value,
but are permitted for zone or country multiplier credit.

Multipliers: There are two types of multipliers.

Zone: A multiplier of one (1) for each different CQ Zone contacted on each
band. The CQ Worked All Zones rules are the standard. Country: A multiplier
of one (1) for each different country contacted on each band. The DXCC
entity list, Worked All Europe (WAE) multiplier list plus IG9/IH9, and
continental boundaries are the standards for defining country multipliers.
Maritime mobile stations count only for a zone multiplier.

If you want to submit a log for this contest (you don't have to if you don't
want to), GenLog is a free, easy to set-up and use, contest logging program:
http://www.qsl.net/w3km/ Of course you can also use HRDLog, Logger32, or
any of a number of other softwares. I'll be using N1MM+ as my DVK/Logger.

As always, if you have any questions or need help sending in your log - I'm
a phone call, text, or e-mail away.
