Tom , et.al...
I agree there are times I have wanted to say bad words like "Dirty Dish
Water" (in the words of Harry) and walk away but when something goes
well it is worth it.
Even if we were to change the bylaws to 4 years the individual has the
right to say no and walk away. The limits to me just take away the
option for someone who wants to serve to do so. I am also of the mind
that new ideas are needed every now and again and limits force everyone
to participate at one time or another. Two years to me is a little short
but anything longer than four years seems to long. (reference how we
feel about our nation's president after about 4 years)
Tom, while I appreciate your willingness to step and be the figure head,
this club needs a more active President as there is a lot of, behind the
scenes work as you mentioned, being done to keep things moving along. I
once heard the "phrase if the organization is not growing it is dying".
Even if I am not President growth and activity should be the be the
priority. It has been my pleasure to work with Rob, Ken, Stacey and Tom
Clarke as the executive board and I use them as counselors to help vet
ideas and move things along and they have been outstanding in their
positions! It truly helps to have active individuals in the executive
committee!
Just my two cents.

For every decision made, there are a number of people who agree and a number of people who will disagree, and it seems the latter are the most vocal. With rare exception it is a thankless position. In short, no one should have to put up with the position for more than 2 years.

Especially when every one I have spoken with has mentioned that they are not interested in being President. If it came down to it if the bylaws were changed to allow me another year I would run again to make sure the club is not dissolved. I am going back to school so I suggest this as a worst case scenario however being we need a month between proposal and vote on the bylaws and constitution changes a change would need to be proposed at the march meeting.

> This violates the one callsign per club trustee rule of the FCC. We found this out by trying to consolidate trustees by making Tom Clarke the trustee of both K3NHK and K3HKI. We were denied license and I volunteered to be and currently am the trustee for K3HKI. This section and the section defining club officers needs to be amended to allow for two trustees.
