Ken, although I concur with your sentiment, the club FD has always been more of a social event.  I was just making a recommendation (expressing a concern) to the FD coordinators.  If this was an actual emergency, we would have to take whatever was available,  but since this isn't an emergency,  we have time to make and adjust plans.
