[SMCARA] Plan B

With the predictions 4 days out, the forecast should certainly be taken with a grain of salt.  I think we should have some contigencies, I.e, plan B.  If the weather is as forecasted, I don't see a lot of people visiting.  The bingo hall is large enough that we share able to separate the radio ops from the social talks.  Plan B isn't the optimum, so let's hope the forecast changes.    Does the tent have sides?

While I agree it is safer for for the operators and the equipment, I am worried about the rest of field day. We have done the setup inside the bingo hall and with all of the socializing being done in the Bingo Hall is was hard to work anything until after dinner when everyone started to leave. Might there be enough room to setup in the back? I don't want to discourage conversation. Especially when we have worked so hard to invite the public.

I checked the forecast for this weekend and it appears that we can expect cooler temperatures with rain and thunderstorms. I recommend that we forego the tent and setup in the bingo hall. During any thunderstorms, we should shut down operations until the storm has passed. We'll need some 2x4s to lay across the roadway to protect any coax runs we have and can set the generators up behind the bingo hall.

Or we can just take our chances and put equipment and people in harm's way...
