This weekend there are two contests scheduled.

The first is the CQ Worldwide VHF Contest - http://www.cqww-vhf.com/
2M and 6 M only - Begins 1800 UTC Saturday, July 18th (2:00 PM Local) and
ends at 2100 UTC, Sunday July 19th (7:00 PM)
Exchange: Callsign and maidenhead (4 character) Grid locator (FM18 for most
of us - double check your locator.

QSO Points: 1 for every 6 meter contact, 2 for every 2 meter contact
(simplex only - no repeaters allowed)
Multipliers: total number of grid locators worked

See the rules for Rovers - Roving can be really fun - recommend a driver

The second is the North-American QSO Party - RTTY Flavor -

Starts 1800 UTC Saturday, July 18th (2:00 PM Local), and ends 0600 UTC
Sunday, July 19th (2:00 AM Local) - work only 10 of the 12 hours.
Power limited to 100 watts
Bands: 160, 80, 40, 20, 15, 10 - Please note the special note about
respecting the PSK window.

Exchange: Operator name and State/Province/Country (so I'll be sending "Tom
MD")

Points: 1 point per QSO - work each station once per band.

Multipliers are all 50 US states, including Alaska and Hawaii, the 13
Canadian provinces/territories (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan,
Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island,
New foundland-Labrador, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut) and
other North American entities as defined by the ARRL
DXCC List . The District of Columbia counts as Maryland. Non-North American
countries, maritime mobiles and aeronautical mobiles do not count as
multipliers but may be worked for QSO credit. Multipliers count again on
each band.

Hope to hear you on the air....
