[SMCARA] Elected association officers - my nominations/recommendations (N1LID)

I thank N1LID for his vote of confidence in nominating me for the position of President of SMCARA for the coming year.  While I choose not to seek a formal leadership position for the coming year, I do want to continue playing an active role developing and supporting hands-on amateur radio activities within the Association.  Proposed hands-on activities include, but are not limited to:

1.  Expand the capabilities of the Association’s Station for activities such as a hands-on Radio Operator’s Training including Voice, Digital, CW, Contesting, Operating Awards and DX Operations.
2.  Use the Association’s Station to introduce new operators and those taking the Technician Licensing Course to actual radio operations (hands-on) as part of the course syllabus. 
3.  Continue  the popular “Make & Take” projects.
4.  Encourage and support Association members in taking on informal leadership positions (making it happen) with regard to the above activities. 
5.  Support Association members with developing and presenting programs that reflect  their individual amateur radio interests and skills.

Thanks again for your vote of confidence and I look forward to working with the new leadership in keeping hands-on amateur radio activities a vital part of the Association’s events.
