Organized in 1925, the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) is an
organization consisting of over 160 national amateur radio societies around
the world. As the ARRL advises the FCC on Amateur Radio matters, the IARU
does the same thing, but on an international level.
Next weekend brings us the IARU HF World Championships. Full info on the
contest is here: http://www.arrl.org/iaru-hf-championship

Recommended logging S/W: If you want a full featured, but possibly
overwhelming logger, try N1MM+ (http://n1mm.hamdocs.com/tiki-index.php). If
you want something more basic and easier to use, try GenLog
(http://www.qsl.net/w3km/).
If you need some help setting up your station, setting up your logging
program, or submitting your log, I'm only an e-mail away.
