[SMCARA] Lower Potomac River Marathon

In a little over a month, we'll have the opportunity for community support
at the 2015 running of the Lower Potomac River Marathon.

When:  Sunday, March 8th -  6:30 AM to Noon-ish (remember to set your clocks
ahead on Saturday night).

Where: Paul Hall Center for Maritime Training and Education at Piney Point -

What: Support the Race organizers, runners, and public viewers using VHF
radios.

 

What's in it for you?  A chance to showcase your skills as amateur radio
operators - a chance to be a part of a dynamic event - a tee shirt - a free
buffet lunch - and the satisfaction that comes with community service.

 

What you'll need - Warm Clothes, an attitude of service, and a VHF (2M)
radio, pre-programmed to the club repeater (K3HKI).  

 

I've heard that in any organization, 20% of the people do 80% of the work.

As a side note - I've been asked to be "Director of Course Operations" and
will be riding my VHF/UHF capable motorcycle on the course.  If you have
