Channel 82A on your marine radio. Usage: Port Operations (US Government only)
Typically used by the Atlantic Test Range for range clearance ops, including airborne range clearance flights. This is typically a KingAir contract aircraft from St Mary's Airport and mainly used in the offshore Warning Area for surveillance.
When dropping ordnance on the targets south of the base, it is often necessary to chase fishermen/waterman from the targets. Bad press to sink some poor fisherman! A 2000 lb bomb crashing into your boat at 400 fps could be a rude awakening!
