 SMCARA members, 

    I have been working on a list of possible presentations, lectures, or demos for our monthly club meetings.  I will leave out July and December do to Field Day and the club Christmas party.  That leaves us with 10 meeting over the next year to fill, and if at all possible I will try to take it out past next July.  I have gotten some responses to an earlier email on the club reflector with some great suggestions.  I truly want to make these things the club member are interested in and make sure I am not just please my own interests.  That said, I would like you the members to voice your opinions to me.  The following is a list of the subjects I have come up with, and suggestions from other members.  Please take the time to pick out your top THREE that you would like to see at one of our club meetings.  This will help assure I am serving our memberships wants and needs.  Thank you for your time and responses!

1.    NOAA Satellite and Solar forecasts  (what do all those solar numbers mean and how are the used anyway)

2.    All about Dxpeditions  

3.    Tube Radio Night  (Bring that old boatanchor and show off how she GLOWS!)

4.    Laser Transmitter/Receiver Demo (Have you ever wanted to talk over a laser beam?)

5.    Meet our ARRL Section Manger for Maryland

6.    Digital modes

7.    Flex Radio System  (see how they work and what it looks like) 

8.    Amateur Radio Code of Conduct

9.    Ecom from EOC? Or Comm Service talk ie. What to do and not do while supporting a community event.

10.  Get started in EME or Satellite QSOs

11.  Coax and Line loss.  (Price vs Loss vs Freq)

12.  DSTAR  

13.  SMECO power safety

14.  Tower Safety

15.  WinLink

16.  Repeater Operation

17.  HDR Software

18.  WSTJ  JT65 Software
