Getting a full quieting signal into the receiver is what counts!
Hang on, new cables go in today and hope to get into the guts of the receiver soon.

The real test of how well the repeater is working is how well the received voice from a distant station is repeated. Is it clear without noise riding on the signal? I can keyup a repeater but if I can not understand the message the repeater is of little use.
