[SMCARA] Tail Gate fest - equipment auction

My opinion on this is a date needs to be set and a venue secured before we get into discussion of raffle prizes. Just starting to plan this event 60 days out?  I think it's too late.

There is a big difference in a raffle for a $150 radio vs a $600 - $800 radio. A lot more tickets need to be sold, or charge more for the tickets to just break even.  It will require selling 120 tickets @ $5 each to just break even on $600. I don't think we'll pull off a break even on the raffle in 60 days, especially if the August 27th meeting we are still deciding what to do and haven't sold a ticket at all. 

I would suggest to start planning now for either a spring tailgate or for October 2016.
