My thinking would be $3/sandwich & $1 for coffee. Round figures & less need for change.

Rob,

I have CC’d the club on this message so you don’t have to explain there at the meeting tonight.

The only business I have is pertaining to the tailgate fest.

I am proposing that instead of using the old coffee maker (that as it seems only Boz knows how to use) the club buys a Keurig machine and we sell the individual coffee packs at the tailgate fest. Boz priced one out at the commissary on base to be about $110.00.

We have also been discussing selling individually wrapped Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches as a food offering at the tailgate fest and we need to appropriate funds to buy the breakfast sandwiches. The sandwiches come in four packs and they offer sausage and egg on biscuit, English muffin or croissant. Based on a quick internet search 4 sandwiches cost around 6.25 (my XYL says it is less and around $5) for 4 which is approx. $1.56 per sandwich. I think we can sell them for $2.50 - $3.00 each then we would be making about $1.00 - $1.50 per sandwich. Now it is a matter of how many sandwiches to buy I suggest 100 which would cost about $165.00 (could be less if my XYL it correct).

The Keurig K cups are 96 for $55.00 (based on internet search) which is about $0.57 per cup so sell them for $1.00 and make $0.43 per cup.

Total fund needed to offer breakfast items at the tailgate fest:

$110 for Keurig

$55 for Keurig K Cups

$165 for breakfast sandwiches

Total $330

Estimated Profit from sales.

96 x 1.00 = 96.00 – 55.00 = $41 from coffee

100 x 2.50 = 250 – 165 = $85 from breakfast sandwiches

Total profit $126

Which means the club receives $16 dollars after subtracting the cost of the coffee maker but now the club owns a new coffee maker as well.

We could sell the coffee and sandwiches for slightly higher prices but how much is too much?

Any Thoughts?

Dan
