</div>The August 2014 QST published a short article on page 61 about modifying the popular SignaLink USB sound card in order to fix an internal noise source that could interfere with reception and decoding of low-level digital signals. I recently modified both of my SignaLinks and the results for me were nothing short of amazing! I would encourage everyone who uses a SignaLink USB Sound Card to consider this modification.
I’ll be glad to forward the details of the modification to anyone who needs it. I’ll also be glad to help anyone who may not feel comfortable making modifications to the card or are not comfortable working with surface mount components. Just drop me an email. All that’s needed is a 470 Ohm low-wattage resistor.

Rob – K3RWR
