Found and worked W1AW/KG4 on 14.310 simplex. Tried 24.970 split but they QSY'd - I heard other DX station calling CQ. Used http://qrzcq.com/call/W1AW/KG4 to learn latest spot. Then I QSY'd to 20m but I forgot to turn off split, so several of my calls went out on 24.973 while listening on 20m. Until I fixed split mistake, I thought snow on the ladder line was attenuating my signal. My antenna is working fine, but my brain was snowed in! I'm enjoying the snow day from school.73.Jim KB1YZ
