[SMCARA] [WARC-VA] RE: Battery for go kit

I agree one would either be operating QRP or have multiple of these in
parallel for extended operations. My current shack and go kit contain
1x28ah (20.7 lbs), 4x18ah (12.6 lbs each) and 1x12ah(4.3lbs) SLA batteries.
Together they weigh heavy 75.4 lbs the same Ah capacity in LiFePO4 weighs
1/3 of what SLA does weighing only 24.25 lbs.

You do make a valid point with cost. All of my of my batteries combined
cost $314.94 shipped if bought from amazon.com where the LiFePO4 for the
same Ah capacity would cost  $901.45 before buying the charger.

I am starting to see a relationship here. The LiFePO4 batteries are 1/3 the
weight at 3 times the cost. For those of us with back problems it might be
worth it.
