[SMCARA] D-star

Just speaking for myself..
D-Star was interesting in the beginning. When the local repeater was
working it was fabulous, when it wasn't working, it wasn't working.
But even when it was working, the ability to talk DX on the reflector wasn't
all that impressive to me.
In short, I gave it a try - enjoyed it for awhile - but decided it really
wasn't for me. I also got tired of everyone telling me my signal was crappy
(R2D2), which happened more often than not.
