</div>ATTN: PVRC members - please contact me direct if you'd like to put together
a So.Md team. You'll operate from your own station, using your own call,
and adding to your WAS & DXCC. I'll need to know by Thursday night so I can
register our team.
ATTN: EVERYBODY - This is a great contest for both the Novice and
Experienced operator. The max power is 100 watts, meaning that the average
station won't have to compete against the guys running kilowatt plus.
Full Rules here: http://www.ncjweb.com/NAQP-Rules.pdf
Times: 1800 UTC (1400 Local EST) January 18 to 0600 UTC (0200 Local EST)
January 19, 2014 (Third full weekend in January)
Operate only 10 hours out of the 12.
Single Operators must be Non Assisted - if you use spotting assistance of
any kind, you'll be reclassified to a Multi-op station.
If you've read this, please send me a quick note and let me know you saw it.
Operating Tips - Start on 10 or 15 meters. Move to 20 about an hour before
sunset - after about 2 hours, move to 40 meters.
40 meters with a dipole will be your money band. You might try 80 later in
the evening to get the close in states, especially if 40 goes long.
In 10 hours of operating, you can expect 100+ QSOs. My goal is 250
contacts.
