This weekend and the first weekend in March bring the ARRL DX Contest.
Here's your chance to work DXCC in 48 hours.

 

This is the USA against the world.  DX gets points and multipliers for
working us - we get points and multipliers for working DX.  

There are people who organize DX-peditions to become the rare contact during
the contest.

CW: Start 0000 UTC Saturday (7:00PM Friday February 15th); ends 2359 UTC
Sunday (1859 Sunday, February 16th).

SSB: Start 0000 UTC Saturday (7:00PM Friday February 28th); ends 2359 UTC
Sunday (1859 Sunday, March 2nd).

 

Exchange: US sends signal report (599/59) and state or province
(Maryland/MD).

DX sends signal report and power

 

Points: W/VE stations count three points per DX QSO.

Multipliers: Sum of DXCC entities (except US and Canada) worked per band.
