That's interesting. My concern is the sampling rate required from the sound card. I thought 48 (or even 44.1) kHz was the standard?

Since on Mondays it has become painfully clear that CW will take a while for me to learn, I was thinking that Micah's recommended modification may be adapted for audio I/O to connect to a smart phone. Yup. Cheating on CW ;). Or if the BW is there, maybe even digital modes from the smart phone?
