[SMCARA] SMCARA Ideas for Upcoming "Make and Take" events wanted

I had another idea. Instead of making a dedicated CW practice oscillator
like that kit, why not build one using a microcontroller? It might take
some thought as far as components, software, and how-to documentation, but
the advantage is that people could use it for CW for a while and then take
it apart and reuse it for some other purpose if they want. If we went with
a lower-spec controller board like the Adafruit Trinket Pro (
http://www.adafruit.com/products/2000), the cost wouldn't be too bad either
(Arduino Uno is ~$25 just for the board). Add some breadboards, wires, a
piezo buzzer, and some type of simple contact for the key and you pretty
much have it for <$20. Maybe have the option for a standard keyer jack to
use an aftermarket keyer and build a simple keyer to work with it too?
