I spent a couple of hours tracing my coax and replacing my antenna.  I found
a worn out spot along the coax where I had tie-wrapped it to my fence.  The
outer shield was worn through and the braid was worn and only making contact
through a few threads.  I'm sure that water got inside the coax.  Swapped
out the antenna with a new one I had handy.  I replaced the coax and will
cut out the bad section and make two shorter lengths.  

 

Needless to say, I believe that I've rectified the technical difficulties of
last week's class and we are ready for Monday night.  Hope to see you there.
