If you have a 100 acre farm, perhaps!
All seriousness aside, I wonder what effect the resistance of this wire
would have on the antenna? It would be interesting to find out the
resistance per foot compared to copper.
Probably make good counterpoise wire too.
Just for fun I laid out 32 - 25 foot radials in the back yard Sunday for
my vertical. It was a pain to do, but the antenna (4BTV) tuned up
nicely according to the antenna bridge. The real test will be when I run
the coax into the shack!
One thing to keep in mind with a vertical is that the theoretical
impedance is 35 ohms over a "perfect" ground plane. Conventional wisdom
says 120 radial is close to perfect (and specified for commercial AM
broadcast antennas (Sam?). HOWEVER, as the number of radials decreases
(less perfect ground plane), the impedance goes up. So you might have a
nice SWR, but the efficiency is not as high as possible. Having said
that, if the antenna matches well, has reasonable efficiency and makes
contacts - life is good! So, my antenna matches well and if I go to 120
radials the efficiency will go up, but laying down 120 radials is not my
idea of fun!
The late L. B. Cebik W4RNL , Jerry Sevick W2FMI, et al, say that for
buried radials, the length is not as important as the number of radials.
I previously had 4 stub tuned radials on this antenna and it did not
tune up well or get out that well either, so there is some truth there.
Here is some light reading for you:

That would be a great source for building a beverage antenna...

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Tractor Supply has high carbon
electric fence wire on sale.
17 ga (1/4 mile on roll) = $12.99
17 ga (1/2 mile on roll) = $24.99
14 ga (1/4 mile on roll) = $28.99
14 ga (1/2 mile on roll) = $49.00
Had to laugh because the first thing I thought was how many antennas we
could make!!
