My bosses from MEMA advised that they would like this message at the link below to go out if anyone is participating in the Great Shake Out on 15 Oct 13. Please disseminate to the widest extent possible through your amateur radio contacts within Maryland
MEMA is not planning on bringing in any ACS for this event due to no planning for the event on our end for ACS.

Amateur Radio Emergency Service radio groups to use for the ShakeOut next
week.
We ask that your state or organization s Communications Officer or liaison
send this out to your ARES groups for dissemination and use during the
drill. Please also ask that your ARES groups register to participate in
the ShakeOut if they will be doing so.
