[SMCARA] JT65 and Yaesu FT-897D

Good Morning All,

Just wanted to share a lesson that I learned last night while playing with
JT65. I use the FT-897D for my base station and the default settings did
not work out so well last night. If you have a Yaesu FT-897D and I believe
this will also work for the FT-857D as well. Go to menu No*38 and change
the digital mode from the default RTTY-U to USER-U. After making that
change I very quickly made three contacts one in the Ukraine, next in
Missouri and lastly on in South Dakota. If the use LOTW that will bring me
to 26 for my WAS.
