Good Afternoon all,

I’d like to start this by thanking all the hams and their families who came out to our Field Day site.  For the families, I hope you had a chance to visit the operating tent and possibly even make a contact or two of your own.  You might think it’s a silly little hobby, but we take it very seriously and are thrilled when you show the slightest interest.  

Thanks to Tom and Pete for stepping up and coordinating the efforts.  

Thanks to Gene for hosting us at the Primo Hollywood FD (could mean Fire Department or Field Day) site – and also for getting us such a great wireless connection.

Thanks to Ray for providing the logging computers.

Thanks to everyone who brought their radios and other gear to support operations.

And a big thank-you to Eric Heard and his testing team.  A lot of tests were given and I’ve heard that all were passed – so congrats to those who got their first ticket or upgraded to a higher license class.

We’ll be doing a de-brief this coming Thursday and are already thinking about next year’s Field Day.  We’d like your impressions, comments, and suggestions for improvement.  We’ll be looking for the good, the bad, and the ugly - so come ready to discuss.
