Hello all-
I am back from the National Jamboree working with K2BSA.
I am happy to make a presentation to SMCARA in August or September, after
the post action report is compiled.

Highlights:
Approximately
300 boys earned their Radio Merit Badge.
20 Scouts (Boy Scouts and Venture scouts) earned their Technician
license.
5 Scouts earned their General license.
We made about 2200 QSO across the different bands. I know W4OKW
called in on the 40m, but I was working the 20m at the time and had several
scouts who were working on their Radio Merit Badge with me.
Including the visitors that came through just because we provided
shelter during the daily afternoon storms, we think we have about 5000
visitors to our exhibit.

	My two favorite QSOs were:
Making contact with MX0GBT, a special event station in Northern
Scotland. He actually stopped to chat with me, rather than working QSOs as
fast as he could.
Making contract with WS0X in New Mexico. He was a real strong 5X9.
Some scouts came up will I was working with him, so I got him to stay on the
air and help me work the scouts with their requirements. When we got done,
he asked how to become a Merit Badge counselor and how to get involved in
scouting as an leader.
