[SMCARA] General Upgrade Class

Just another friendly reminder we will be starting a General Upgrade Class
starting July 13th from 9am to 12pm at the J.F. Conference Center located
in the same Parking Lot as the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum in Lexington
Park, MD. These classes will run every Saturday from July 13 through August
31st. Exam Session to be scheduled early September.

Special Thanks go to Dwayne of LDG Electronics as we should have new hands
on classroom materials consisting of Digital Multi-meters and Electronic
Component Kits with Breadboards to help us in our studies and I have been
authorized to mention that those who take the course and pass their exam
will get to take home their very own Digital Multi-meter courtesy of LDG
Electronics.

As of today I have two instructors assisting me and about ten individuals
interested. For you folks please go to http://www.w5yi.org/catalog_
details.php?pid=72&sort=4 and purchase your manual. Please go ahead and
begin to read. We have over 700 powerpoint slides to cover and some
practical hands on lessons so it should be jam packed.


FYI: YOU MUST ALREADY HAVE AN FCC ISSUED TECHNICIAN LICENSE BEFORE TAKING
THIS CLASS.
