Make sure you have the evening of Thursday, January 24th, marked off on your calendar. That’s the first meeting of the St. Mary’s County Amateur Radio Association.

Mr. Bob Bruninga WB4APR, will be visiting with us. Many of us know Bob as the author of the APRS system, but this Thursday, Bob will be making a presentation on “Rethinking Electrical Power for the Ham.” Bob won the September, 2012 QST Cover Plaque Award for an article in QST on the same subject. Bob is an instructor at the US Naval Academy.

Of course, there will be opportunities for eye-ball ragchews.

As always, the meeting will begin at 7:30 PM, with the doors opening up at 7:00 AM. The meeting location is the Pax River Naval Air Museum, just outside of Pax River Gate 1, 22156 Three Notch Road, Lexington Park, Maryland 20653.

I’m looking forward to seeing each of you there. Bring your friends.
