Subject: [SMCARA] W6WPP Passing
 
It is with great sadness that I notify the club that my father Ray Page,
W6WPP, passed away on Tuesday, April 2nd. Unfortunately, it became more
difficult for him to make the club meetings toward the end, but I know he
was very appreciative of the time he spent in SMCARA. Being a Ham since the
age of 15 (roughly 76 years), he had witnessed Ham radio evolve from his
first crystal set to the digital age. During that time, his interest and
willingness to learn never ceased as witnessed by his passing the Extra
exam last year at the age of 90. I can only hope that I'm that sharp when I
reach that age.
