The new beam antenna for the club station at the museum is currently sitting in my living room. Tomorrow (Sept. 29) morning at 10:00 AM, we’ll be meeting at the museum to put this antenna together, get it in the air, and do some initial checks on it.
I’d like to see two teams – one to put the antenna together and the other to prep the tower.
What we need...
1 – People – no one who shows up will not be put to work.
2 – Tower climbing gear (belts, harnesses, hardhats, ropes) – A gin-pole has been volunteered to help with putting the antenna on top of the tower.
3 – People – this is a great chance to see how a beam antenna goes together and learn some tower safety
4 – A variety of small tools – mostly wrenches, screwdrivers, measuring tapes, etc
5 – did I mention PEOPLE – the more the merrier...
If you’d like a little heads up on putting the antenna together, go to : http://www.hy-gain.com/pdffiles/TH-3JRS.pdf for the instruction manual.
To recap – Tomorrow – Saturday, 29 September – 10 AM – Antenna Party at the Museum... Oh, and we really need people to show up....
