Checking the predicted track of Sandy on the NOAA site, which was updated this morning, the track has moved to the west with landfall at Central NJ around 8:00 AM on Tuesday morning.

At landfall she is expected to be a tropical storm, but Monday Morning she will still be a hurricane with the eye several hundred miles out in the Atlantic.
All that said, Maryland and Virginia landfalls at Hurricane strength are within the "Cone of Uncertainty."

Its time to check your home and make sure, if the worst happens, that first you can ensure your own and your family's safety, then make sure you can communicate. Make sure your batteries in your HTs are well charged, that your antennas are properly secured, and that you have all the local repeaters and several standard simplex frequencies pre-programmed.

If the county puts out a call for our assistance, Ray (KB3FWW) will be coordinating the efforts.

After Irene blew through here, Pete put out a list of lessons learned - Pete, please repost that email.

Its not yet time to panic. Keep an eye on Sandy at http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ and start to think about preparations you might need.
