All,

As this project I am supporting is finally coming to and end (Final
Inspection started yesterday) I have been looking at my schedule for
possible dates to run a Tech class or two. I have come up with the
following.

Classes would run each Saturday for three hours. Times are

Class #1
Starts January 19, 2013
Ends March 2, 2013
with the exams being on March 2, 2013

Class #2
Starts March 23, 2013
Ends May 4, 2013
with exams being on May 4, 2013 this includes a by week for Easter weekend.

Of course this is an initial offering. If you are interested in helping and
there are dates that better suit your schedule I would be willing to
entertain those dates.
I am still looking at locations as one class will most likely be run at a
location further North in Calvert or White Plains areas to accommodate
individuals who have expressed interest in a class outside of our club.

I am interested in putting together a committee to go over the teaching
materials we have to better organize them. Currently we are using the ARRL
slides from their instructor's book but they are not very well organized as
we found during the last Tech class. So those interested in helping with
that effort please let me know and we'll set something up. If you would
like to see what we are starting with the documents can be viewed here

(case sensitive).
We also need to put together some training materials for a General Upgrade
Class. We have the materials Tom (AB3IC) used for his class but I would
like to take what he used and expand the content. What we currently have
for the General Upgrade Class can be viewed here

GeneralUpgrade (case sensitive). I am looking to do more in the line of in
class demonstrations so as you review the materials please make notes of
any thoughts you might have as to what would be a good to explain by a
demonstration and how would you demonstrate it.

Thanks for all you do to help those interested get into the hobby!
