I just took a look at the club membership list and was a bit disheartened to find out that although we have a healthy number of members at 70, we only have 28 ARRL members in the group.

In order to maintain our affiliation, we need to have a minimum of 50% (+1) membership in the ARRL.  By my math, we need 36 members so we are 8 short.

I strongly encourage you to join the ARRL.  http://www.arrl.org/membership

There are some great benefits to membership, such as QST magazine and the out-going QSL bureau.  Club affiliation also has benefits to us as a club – Did you know that for field day we had a $1 million insurance rider against any liability (injuries, property damage, etc.) provided to us by the ARRL?
