Happy Father’s Day....

I hope everyone is enjoying themselves and looking forward to next weekend.

There seem to be three ways of looking at Field Day.  The first – It is a complete waste of time.  I don’t think we need to concern ourselves with this.

The second and third – It is a contest and score matters – and – it is a social event with educational and community service foci.  This last one is the philosophy that we as a club have embraced.  

Take some time in the next few days to tell your friends, co-workers, family, neighbors, and anyone else who will listen about what you’ll be doing next weekend and invite them out to see what Ham radio is about.  Word of mouth is the best way to spread the word.
