[SMCARA] Looking forward to next year

Hello all my fellow Hams...

Tammy and I are back from Vacation.  Our cruise was pretty rough as Tammy and I were both sick.  But we got away for a bit and had a chance to relax.

I’m starting to put together plans for the club for the next year.  Some things are hard-wired (like Field Day), but just about everything else is wide open.

I need ideas for speakers at our meetings.  Please send me your suggestions and contact info (if you have it).

There was a suggestion for a Valentine’s dinner – I’m thinking a date night out at a nice place on the weekend following Valentine’s Day, would be good, but I’m open to suggestions.  I’d also like a volunteer to plan this (any takers?).

I’m planning a soldering class (one day) and a Morse-Code class (4-5 weeks).

There are a couple of contests coming up that would make for a good group activity.  We can do them at the club station, my QTH, or someone else’s station.  There are CW, Phone, and RTTY flavors – if interested let me know and we’ll plan something.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
