All,

What a great and enthusiastic turnout for the Antenna and BUGLY (that is
Beautiful, Ugly Balun) workshop! It was great to see so many
participants, young and not so young, new hams and OT's, ladies and
gents, all learning new stuff and having fun. Working the MD QSO party
from K3NHK was just icing on the cake.

It was awesome of the CPO Selectees to provide lunch for us and the
opportunity to take a clean car home with us! It is said that the chiefs
are the backbone of the Navy, and it's true.

For those of you who are not familiar, being selected as a Chief Petty
Officer is a significant step in a Naval career. It represents not only
being eminently qualified in a particular field, but recognizes
outstanding leadership and community involvement. Most smart officers
depend on their chief's assistance and wise counsel!

I hope everyone is having fun squirting RF into the ether with their new
and personally constructed HF "Aerials".

How do you top this one, Tom?
